1) Celebrity Trend
Vintage fashion wasn’t always as acceptable as it is now. And one of the main reasons for the change is that celebrities now confess to their addiction with vintage inspired clothes.
If it’s ok for celebrities then we know we are ok to follow suit!
2) Unique
The fashion trends of the high street means that most shops have the same similar styles as they mimic the catwalk look. That means that it’s inevitable that at least a few girls will be wearing the same dress.
If it’s happened to you then you know it’s not a good feeling. It spoils your night in fact!
One of the best ways to almost guarantee you won’t be wearing the same as anyone else is wearing a vintage fashion dress.
When you buy a piece of vintage clothing you are also buying individuality. Your item can come from anywhere around the world and from any era so it’s bound to be unique.
3) Recycling
Vintage clothing is an excellent way to recycle. There are so many pieces out there that can go to a good home rather than being thrown away. You may not think there’s much value in your own old clothes but one girls rubbish is another girls treasure so make sure you sell them on rather than throwing them out.
4) Save Money
In the present credit crunch buying vintage dresses is the perfect way to save some money. The high street can be pretty expensive so vintage is an excellent alternative and it means you can get more for your budget!
So overall the main reasons we love the vintage look are – to save the pennies, have unique clothes and to do our bit for the planet. And to think we once thought of vintage as old tat.
